As many of you know Sunday I will be ordained. Before this event happens I had to sit in front of 6 guys and be drilled. These 6 guys are guys I greatly respect. They all have been ordained in the past. So you could say I was a little intimidated. They asked me questions for 1 and 1/2 hours. It felt a lot longer than that. About halfway through the question I thought to myself, ok this is going well. Then they got to the tougher questions. It was all good though. We got to the end and Jay said anybody have any advice for him? Before the questioning began, I drank like 2 bottles of water, yeah not a good idea. I had to tell them hold off on the advice so I could go pee. Yeah that is what I wanted to say to 6 guys who are deciding if I am qualified to be ordained. O-well, you live and learn.Peace!
We saw Santa tonight
•December 13, 2008 • Leave a CommentTonight was fun. We went with Brian and Crystal to take Caleb to see Santa. It was so cool to see his face light up. It was the shortest line for Santa ever. We were first in line. It was nice. Since it took like 5 minutes to see Santa, I had time to go get some presents for Tiffany. I love buying her gifts. It was now time for dinner. So we went to the best, cheap food in town - Steak and Shake. Yeah it was good. Anyway we are at home and in bed early. Tiffany is still not feeling good. Hopefully she will be better by tomorrow. I can’t wait for the youth christmas party. Well got to go. Peace!
Day # 2!
•December 12, 2008 • Leave a CommentRain, rain go away, come again another…. On second thought stay away for a few weeks. So, today was the second day of not working. It is also the second day with no pay. For lack of better words, that sucks. On the up side I got to do some things that are so cool. Yesterday, I got to go to the office and spend the day with Jay. We got to meet about some things. Today I got to go eat lunch with A-town. This is the first time I have been able to do this. It was so much fun. I can’t wait to be able to do this on a regular basis. Well, that’s all for now. Peace!
Rainy day.
•December 10, 2008 • Leave a CommentWow, it is really storming outside. I can’t believe I am hearing thunder, and seeing lighting, in the middle of December. Crazy weather. You are probably wondering why I am blogging in the middle of the day. Well, my great job gave us all the day off, because it is raining. For those that don’t know I work outside, so we can’t work in the rain. Oh-yeah, I forgot to tell you it is a day with out pay. If it does not stop raining Thursday will be the same. Merry Christmas to me. 2 days with out pay, so close to Christmas. It will be ok though, if there is one thing I have learned, is to trust God because He has something up His sleeve. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in my life now. Peace!
Beds!
•October 20, 2008 • Leave a CommentWhat is it about your own bed? This weekend Fusion went camping. It was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, not hot at all, and not too cold. In years past i slept on the ground in my sleeping bag. I hate sleeping on the ground. When you have a few extra pounds on you, it is just not comfortable sleeping on the ground. So, this year I got my hands on an air mattress, thanks Rachel. It made my whole weekend. It was great. I slept so much better, but as good as that was there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed. Man, last night I don’t think I moved all night. I love my bed! This camping trip was even better than last year, even with the extra craziness. Yeah, the other group with us was lets just say, hyper active. They were nuts, but they were awesome. Ryan you got your work cut out for you man. As crazy as they were, one of their girls got saved. That made the weekend. Anyway got to get ready for Saturday. Peace!
Wow, were does the time go?
•October 15, 2008 • Leave a CommentOK, so it has been a little while since I’ve done this. My bad. It seems like Tiffany and I have been on a roller coaster all summer. We have been so busy. Tiffany surprised me and took me to New York. It was awesome. Brian and Crystal went with us. They all knew for like 8 months, and no one messed up and told me. They are petty good at that. The best part of the whole trip was getting to go to Yankee Stadium. I can’t explain how awesome it was. Tiffany said I had a goofy grim on my face the whole night. The whole trip was awesome. I have the greatest wife in the world. The rest of the summer has basically been up and down. Things breaking, mice in the house, no money, you know all of the usual things. It is all good though, because I know God is about to do something so big we can’t even wrap our heads around. Well as soon as God does what ever He is preparing us for I will let you know. Peace!
Two weeks and counting
•August 14, 2008 • Leave a CommentIn two weeks I’m going on a mystery vacation. Tiffany’s been planning a vacation for us since January and I have no idea where we’re going. She could be taking me a remote village and trading me for their prized possession cow. Just kidding… knowing her it’s probably something really cool and I’m really looking forward to it. Don’t I have the best wife in the world? Anyway hope to see everyone Sunday at church.
It’s too late to ‘pologize…
•July 24, 2008 • Leave a CommentOkay, okay I suck at this whole blogging thing! As you can see, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything.
So what’s going on in my life? This week I’ve been helping with Kids Camp which has been a lot of fun!! This week has definitely been a shot of excitement in my arm. My favorite thing about camp is the excitement the kids show during worship time. They have all sang and danced their hearts out, including some kids attempting to do the worm! Hysterical!! I’m also helping out with game time. Go BLUE!! Looks like I might be getting a pie in the face tomorrow night but that’s okay because I like pie (as long as it’s not key lime pie).
We’ve also been working on building a stage for the August 3rd Back to School Blast event. I have to say a BIG thank you to Andy Kilgore for building our stage. It really looks great!
Also, one more random thought… I can’t wait for the summer to be over so my youth group will come back. Everyone’s been in and out on vacation and busy with whatever. I miss having that time with my teens on a regular basis!!!
I’m out… hopefully not for so long this time!
I’m not as young as I think I am
•May 23, 2008 • 1 CommentWow, Brian and I went to the gym today. We have been going three times a week for about a month now. We have been researching the best routines to do to help get us in shape. Everything we have read says to take a break from lifting weights every month or so. So, today we decided to just play basketball, and maybe play raquetball. Well, needless to say we never made it to raquetball. We played basketball for almost 2 hours. Right now I’m laying in bed trying not to move because I am so sore. It is crazy. When I was younger I could do this every night, and it would not even bother me. Man, it stinks getting older. Oh-well, I will keep doing it till I get back into shape. Peace out!
I think I have an addiction
•May 21, 2008 • Leave a CommentI dont know why but recently I have really been addicted to ice cream. It is so weird. I have always liked ice cream, but the last year or so I have wanted ice cream all the time. It is so bad that I have been stopping at the gas station and getting those ice cream bars, you know, the strawberry ones they served in school. Crap, just got myself in trouble with Tiffany over that one. Yeah it is so crazy. I think I am actually addicted to ice cream. Weird! Anyway, man it is thundering and lightning like crazy. I wish it would rain. We need it bad. I love to listen to the thunder. It is cool to hear. It brakes up the craziness of life. Peace out!
